Hi Everyone,
Podcast 6 is finally up, as is the Panic Project back catalogue. No KFD update this month…
As you may have noticed, I haven’t had much to say the last 4 or 5 weeks. I wasn’t going to go into it, but I have found that I have had to keep repeating myself as various things have come up, so I thought I would just say what’s been going on and simplify everything.
As many of you know, my father died a number of months before the original My Angel EP (KFA19). My father and I were very close and I loved him, but he didn’t raise me. I was raised by my mother and step father.
Anyway, about a year ago my step father was diagnosed with cancer, and he passed away a month or so ago. One of the things I was doing in the UK on my last trip was attending his funeral. It is a sad irony that the release of the remixes of the My Angel EP has coincided with this.
My intention was to keep this private, however I have had to explain myself to a few people who have sent demos and received no response, and I am sure there are quite a few others who have either received no response or very curt replies to emails. Most of you will know that I am occasionally lax with email, but I have tried very hard to keep on the ball with demos etc because I want the podcasts to be a good showcase for new material. I am sure you can understand why I have been a bit rubbish at replying, and also why I haven’t made any new material myself over the last few weeks.
I just wanted to post this so that those who have sent me music and received no response will know that it wasn’t me being rude or not caring. Its simply that I have been concerned with other matters. If you have not received any reply from me, it may well be worth resending stuff.
I am okay, and Bexxie has been very supportive, as has everyone I know. It just takes a little while to get back to normal, and ridiculous as it is, I felt I should tell you guys to explain the sudden drop in posts and updates on the site.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Hope all is well. These time are never easy, esp with having to go through it twice. Once is bad enough.

Keep it up dude. Sorry to hear about your loss. New mix is quality..i look forward to them everytime. You manage to keep my faith in hardcore when it all seems to be going pants. love the into.

that’s bizarre & eerie that both of your fathers passed around the my angel releases…never believed in curses but maybe kfa has one =P

I sadly know all too well how you’re feeling. I grew up with just my mother as my father left when I was 3. I was extremely close to my mother and she died unexpectedly Feb 22nd at the age of 59. The doctors still cant tell me what actually killed her, and I’m still waiting on the autopsy results to be given to me.

To look at this sad situation from a more positive angle, at least you knew he was dying, what was killing him, and had time to say your goodbyes. He had time to make peace with family and friends, and share stories you may not have heard previously about his past.

You obviously spent many years growing up with what was obviously a very caring man, as you certainly turned out alright. He was around to see you get married, and he was around to see you become a successful musician. You should consider yourself fortunate in many respects.

Sorry to hear about your Father and Stepfather passing. You probably do this already but whenever I have difficult times I always listen to music to help me get through.

Sad to hear this. Hope you’re coping okay.
It’s possibly a ‘sad’ irony, but at least it could have some supportive meaning thet they’re watching over you proudly.
